Ribbon Bows You can make lovely Christmas tree ornaments with various colors of fancy Christmas ribbon by shaping the ribbon into bows. If you have a color theme to your Christmas tree, such as white, blue bows can be a pleasant contrast.

Polystyrene balls can be covered with strongly patterned fabric. Just cut the fabric into narrow strips and fasten them to the ball with a glue gun. Glue a loop of Christmas wrapping twine onto the top of the book for hanging on the tree.

Miniature stockings Red, green or gold, or any color you choose, miniature Christmas stockings can be made from colored felt, or fancy fabrics. Sew a loop of metallic string to the top of the stocking for hanging on the tree.

Miniature gift wrapped boxes You can get very small cardboard boxes from the craft store, or make them yourself with strong construction paper. Then wrap them in a variety of colorful fancy Christmas wrapping paper. You can also use fancy paper doilies, such as silver or gold and use them to wrap the miniature boxes. Gift-wrap them with small Christmas ribbon or metallic wrapping twine.

Miniature Christmas crackers can be attractive Christmas tree ornaments to make.
